Matthew started as a youngster and had gone on to breed some of the finest akitas in the world today under the
Ruthdales Affix winning Crufts Best male 10 times Best of Bred 5 times including breed wins at World dog show,
as well as many champions and Number 1 Akitas inmany countries Matthew had judged the breed at the
highest level in uk, Ireland, Italy, Russia and really takes great pleasure to ensure the best dog on the day will win

I am honoured to accept this judging appointment and I am looking forward to seeing some lovely Akita’s in Finland,
my wife and I have been involved in showing and breeding Akita’s for over 25 years, and have made up numerous
champions in American akita’s and Akita. i am proud of the work that Modelvill kennels have done for the breeds
campaigning them to the highest levels of championship shows, Group wins, best in shows and top puppy in shows,
And also the work we have done outside of the show ring.
I am proud to be a founding member and also the president of the Akita association of Ireland. I have been an assessor
for the Irish kennel club when the breed was spilt in Ireland in 2003. I also have presented seminars for the Irish kennel
club, Akita association of Ireland and also while I was in Italy I had the pleasure of doing a seminar on the American akita.
I have judged American Akita’s and Akita Inu’s at home in Ireland, the UK, Israel and Italy. I am also qualified to judge all
breeds group 5 and some breeds group 2 under fci
Looking to the future my son bobby and his partner Hayley is campaigning the Modelvill Akita’s also bobby has been passed
to judge group five breeds it’s an exciting time in Modelvill and the good work continues.
